Mentoring
Met - Tomorrow is Thank Your Mentor Day.   This is an opportunity to acknowledge mentors in your life. Ecards are available online.   Regarding the mentorship questionnaire, the committee discussed an incentive to complete the online survey perhaps a raffle for an MSU Spirit Basket.   Filling out the questionnaire would make you eligible for the raffle.

Education
Harris said the mission of the Education Committee is trying to get people to understand what AA is all about.   Jeremy and others will meet with student groups to see what students understand about AA. Students have misinformation.   Meneghin suggested using the PCAA website.   We could post questions on the PCAA website like "What does AA mean to me?"   We would solicit student groups to respond.   Let's find out what student generation thinks about AA. Adikar expressed concerns about student's negative comments on our website.   Meneghin suggests a "Dear Abby for Affirmative Action."   where the PCAA would respond to negative comments.   Slagle says any and all comments should be welcome, because if people have feelings about this, there is hope.   Jenkins had concerns about blogging and negative feelings about AA being put out there.   Meneghin says the responses cannot be anonymous, and PCAA will have control of what goes up there.   Kaiser feels we are getting ahead of ourselves.   The generation gap is problematic.   We should use different language than AA.   We do not want a debate, we want to educate.   We need new ways to talk about these issues.   Meneghin asked the Education Committee to approach some students to start a dialogue.   We will oversee it.   It will be a controlled situation - controlled to stimulate thought.
