Montclair State University

The Center for Non-Violence and Peace Initiatives (CNVPI) was created in the summer of 2005 with the vision to create a campus community that is free from all forms of violence. In essence, the Center for Non-Violence and Peace Initiatives supports and enhances the educational mission of Montclair State University (MSU) by serving as a vehicle to create a safe learning, working, and living environment based on equality and respect.  The implementation of the Center for Non Violence, the only center of its kind in the state of New Jersey, demonstrates Montclair State University’s commitment to non violence, peace initiatives and student activism.
