Brian V. Carolan, Ph.D. is associate professor of quantitative research methods in the Department of Educational Foundations, Montclair State University. As a sociologist of education, his research interests include classroom and school organization, and social networks. Recent publications have appeared in Social Networks, Social Psychology of Education, and the Teachers College Record. He is currently working on a textbook for Sage Publications, "Social Networks and Education: Theory, Methods, and Applications, to be published spring 2013.
