Profile

George Elian teaches Introductory, Advanced and Graduate Communication Studies courses for the College of Communication & Media at Montclair State University. His original professional background is in marketing and training. His current areas of specialty include business communication skills, public speaking anxiety management, effective speech writing, and achieving delivery proficiency. In addition to MSU, he is also a former faculty member of the Humanities, Arts, and Writing department at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. His students over the past twenty-five years at both universities have included members of the public relations, advertising, corporate, financial, legal and diplomatic community. He also serves as an independent public speaking consultant.

Specialization

George Elian's primary area of expertise is performance anxiety management. His entire graduate study endeavor was devoted to researching the primal cause of public speaking fear and subsequently helping speakers overcome this challenge. He is available for consultation for any department at our university.
