Jennifer C Hunt
Jennifer C. Hunt Ph.D. began her career at Montclair State University in the Department of Sociology. Her areas of expertise include Military Sociology, the Sociology of Sport, Psychoanalysis and Sociology, Ethnography and Qualitative Methods, and the Sociology of Police. She has published two books and numerous articles in journals in psychology, sociology and anthropology, including Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, Human Organization, the Psychoanalytic Quarterly and Symbolic Interaction. Her most recent book, Seven Shots: An NYPD Raid on a Terrorist Cell and its Aftermath was published by University of Chicago Press in 2010. Dr. Hunt is currently working on a new book in the area of military sociology and defense contracting. She has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Graduate Center, City University of New York and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. She is also a graduate of the Psychoanalytic Institute, New York University Medical Center. Dr. Hunt won a Fulbright Distinguished (Research) Chair in American Studies for fall, 2012 in Canada.
