I am an Associate Professor in the Exercise Science and PE Department. As an instructor in the Teacher Education Program, I have taught many undergraduate and graduate courses. The courses that I teach include Fitness Activities, Movement Education in the Elementary Schools and the Teaching of Physical Education. I advise our Department's Student Panzer Association and volunteer as the Future Professional Advisor for New Jersey Assoication for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. In addition, I serve on the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance's Student Services Board.

My area of research includes investigating the coordinated approach schools take to improve student health and wellness. I am trained in several fitness education programs and technology. My research includes schools in Asia as well as in the USA. I investigate what the goals of teachers are for their health and PE Program and whether it includes making student health and well. I also investigate what students think about their PE Program, their physical fitness levels, participation in physical activity and nutrition practices.

My research involve the coordinated approach that schools take to improve the health and wellness of their students. Students and health and PE teachers are surveyed. PE classes are coded for physical activity; other personnel that influence student health and wellness in the school are interviewed. My research has taken me to schools in Hong Kong and Singapore as well as schools in New Jersey.
