Marietta Morrissey is a Professor of Sociology whose research and teaching interests focus on sociological theory, inequality and mobility and Central American and Caribbean economic development. She has conducted research on labor and employment in the United States, Mexican-American labor migration in the Midwest, Puerto Rican economic and political change and state development in Panama and Costa Rica. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in her areas of research specialization and has a strong interest in undergraduate research. She is on leave for the 2014-2015 academic year.
