Profile

DR. KATE NOONER is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Montclair State University. She is also a research scientist at the Nathan S. Kline Institute where she conducts child psychiatry research. Dr. Nooner received her Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in child and adolescent psychopathology and was a post-doctoral fellow at New York University's Child Study Center. Dr. Nooner's primary research explores the neurobiological and psychosocial corollaries of trauma during childhood and adolescence as well as factors related to risk and resilience. Dr. Nooner is also interested in evidence-based treatments for suicidal, self-injuring, and multi-problem adolescents.
