The Center for Advising and Student Transitions (CAST)
The Center for Advising and Student Transitions (CAST) provides innovative programs and services aimed at first and second year students at Montclair State University. The goal of CAST is to assist first and second year student's transition to the university by providing advisement that helps them make informed decisions about their major and degree requirements. CAST also provides advisement to undeclared students, students transitioning between academic majors, and students in academic jeopardy. CAST also oversees New Student Orientation, Peer Leaders and Peer Advisory Programs, New Student Seminar, Student Academic Progress Program, and First Year Learning Communities.
