Montclair State University’s Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program provides access for motivated state residents from underrepresented populations/areas who meet the NJ State Higher Education income criteria and exhibit the potential for high achievement.
EOF SUMMER ACADEMY FOR SCHOLARS (MANDATORY):
First-Year scholars enrolling in September under the provisions of the EOF Program are required to attend the Residential Summer Academy, a rigorous six-week institute designed to assist students with the successful academic and social transition to the university experience. The Summer Academy includes college courses (for credit and remediation), academic support, academic/social programming, introduction to the Summer Reading program and much more!

The EOF Program provides quality academic support, leadership development; financial literacy, career enrichment, intentional counseling/advisement, and need based financial assistance to maximize the intellectual and social growth of all participants. The EOF community fully engages scholars in curricular and co-curricular experiences ultimately producing active alumni dedicated to lifelong learning and global citizenship.
