Institutional Review Board

Institutional Review Board (IRB)- All research conducted at the University that involves human subjects must first be reviewed and approved by the IRB. As mandated by federal law, all University researchers must obtain written approval from the IRB before commencing any project that involves human subjects. The IRB staff in collaboration with the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance offers support in the form of IRB workshops and makes available on its webpage resource manuals, documents, and links that can assist MSU researchers in applying for and obtaining IRB approval.
