Fall 2009

April 6 -Sept 1 Registration for Fall 2009 semester. (see WESS System Availability and Registration Chart for additional information)
May 18 Grades for Spring 2009 semester will be available through WESS
June 1 Deadline for filing an Application for Final Audit for January 2010 degrees and/or certificates - Oct 1 for May 2010 (For details, log on to www.montclair.edu/Registrar)
June 30 Deadline for submission of grade changes for Incompletes received during the Spring 2009 semester.
End of July Bills/Statements for the Fall 2009 semester tuition and fees will be posted to WESS Account Summary. Invoices will not be mailed; students should obtain billing and payment information via WESS or the Bursar web page (www.montclair.edu/bursar/payment/).
Aug. 17 Payment for Fall 2009 semester tuition and fees is due in the Student Accounts Office. (Payment options can be viewed via WESS or www.montclair.edu/bursar/payment/.) If you do not pay in full or do not have an approved deferment (Financial Aid, Payment Plan with TMS or Waivers) by the payment deadline as viewed on WESS, you will be subject to de-registration (see www.montclair.edu/bursar/payment/).
Sept. 1 Opening Day - Red Hawk Day (No Classes)
Sept. 2 First Day of Classes. (Friday evening and weekend courses begin September 11, 2009).
Sept. 2- 10 Final Add /Drop Period for Fall 2009 semester courses. (see WESS System Availability and Registration Chart for additional information).
Sept. 7 Labor Day Holiday (No Classes).
Sept. 10 Drop deadline for 100% refund/adjustment. Final day for students to drop a Fall 2009 semester course(s) resulting in 100% refund/adjustment of tuition. Courses dropped at 100% may be processed either through WESS or by submitting written notice to the Office of the Registrar. (see Schedule of Courses book for withdrawal information including Short Term withdrawal dates (select: Withdrawal Procedures, Deadlines & Refund Policy). 50% refund/adjustment will be issued between September 11 - October 7, 2009.
Sept. 21 Drop deadline for 100% refund/adjustment for Friday evening and weekend courses which began on Friday, September 11, 2009 only, and for courses meeting on Monday only which began on September 14, 2009.
Sept. 24 Pass/Fail and Audit Application deadline (to audit courses) for full term Fall 2009 semester courses.
Oct. 1 Deadline for filing an Application for Final Audit for May 2010 degrees and/or certificates - March 1 for August 2010 (For details, log on to www.montclair.edu/Registrar)
Oct. 7 Withdrawal deadline 50% refund/adjustment. Final day for students to withdraw from a Fall 2009 semester course(s) resulting in a grade of WD and 50% refund/adjustment of tuition. Withdrawals may be processed either through WESS or by submitting written notice to the Office of the Registrar. No refund/adjustment issued after this date.
Oct. 15 Deadline for submission of grade changes for Incompletes received during Summer Session 2009.
Nov. 4 Pass/Fail Application rescind deadline for full term Fall 2009 semester courses.
Nov. 4 Withdrawal deadline no refund/adjustment. Final day for students to withdraw from a Fall 2009 semester course(s) resulting in a grade of WD and no refund/adjustment of tuition. No course withdrawal permitted after this date.
Nov. 9 Registration for Spring 2010 semester begins (tentative date).
Nov. 26 - 29 Thanksgiving Holiday (No Classes).
Dec. 9 Wednesday designated as a Monday. (Wednesday day and evening classes do not meet).
Dec. 11 Last Day of Classes. ( Sunday, December 13, 2009 for Friday evening and weekend classes).
Dec. 14 - Dec. 20 Final Examinations for Fall 2009 semester. (see Final Exam Schedule ).
Dec. 20 End of semester.
Dec. 25 - Jan. 1 University Closed. (The University will reopen on January 2, 2010).
Dec. 29 Instructor deadline for submission of Fall 2009 final grades.
Jan. 5 Grades for the Fall 2009 semester will be available through WESS.
