The Residential Leadership Council is a student group that is under the Department of Residential Education and Services. We are your voice as students to the Department of Residential Education and Services. We are also here to enable you to make yourself into a voice for students directly to Residential Education and Services. Our office is located on the 11th floor of Bohn Hall to the left of the elevators once you get off. Please feel free to come by and visit us for any reason.
Our Mission:
The Residential Leadership Council was developed by the Staff and Students of Montclair State University. One of our primary goals is to promote campus pride. We want to see Montclair become more active. The Residential Leadership Council aims to eliminate the idea the we are a suitcase college. We aim to solidify the relationship between the university as a whole and our residential community.
We, the members of the Residential Leadership Council at Montclair State University, aim to foster residential community development, student involvement, and student leadership. We will do this in conjunction with the Department of Residential Education and Services at Montclair State University and the students within our residential community. We hereby pledge to uphold this mission.
Purpose and Goals:
We are to create a positive and open relationship between the students residing within our community, the staff of the Department of Residential Education and Services, as well as the supportive staff members found campus wide. We are to provide rigorous programming opportunities that will increase the satisfaction of the students, hereby enhancing their overall MSU experience. We are to serve, represent, and give voice to the residential student population. We are to represent Montclair State University with the fullest enthusiasm at all times, as well as at local, regional, and national conferences. We are to work in conjunction with other offices, administrators, and faculty to achieve the Residential Leadership Council's goals, missions, and purpose.
