Spring Housing Application Process for New Incoming Transfers

Is campus housing available for transfer students?

Housing for new first time transfers enrolling for the spring 2012 academic semester is guaranteed for those who meet the below criteria:

-Have been fully accepted to the University
-Submit all enrollment confirmation forms and fees by December 1, 2011
-Submit a $300 non refundable housing application fee by December 1, 2011
-Complete the online housing application no later than December 15, 2011

All items are required in order for your housing application to be considered complete. For specific information on enrollment fees please see http://www.montclair.edu/admissions/accepted/. Please note that our housing process is done completely on line and there is no paper application to complete or submit; a student must go on line and complete the process as noted above. For those who do not meet the above criteria, including students who may be accepted to the University after these dates, housing is not guaranteed. Every effort will be made to accommodate students in this category as space becomes available.

A $300 housing application fee, along with all enrollment fees and enrollment confirmation form, included in your admissions letter, must be received and processed for you to then complete the online RMS housing application. New transfer students will be able to complete their housing preferences in the Residential Management System (RMS) .

Please follow the steps in the grey navigation box to the right to complete your housing preferences. Please understand that your housing preferences are requests for where you would like to be placed. We will try our best to accommodate requests, however they are not guaranteed.

Students requesting housing accommodations  due to a medical condition, in addition to completing the RMS preferences must submit a request for medical accommodations by January 5, 2012. You can download the form here.
