Living Out Proud Screening

October 6, 2009 12:30 pm Student Center 417 Inspired by the 2007 video project organized by the Human Rights Campaign, Living Out Proud exemplifies the rich and diverse community of people that comprises Montclair State University. Faculty, staff and students alike proudly share their own stories in this patchwork like collection of personal reflections on what it means to come out. For a better future, it is important to acknowledge the struggles and triumphs of the LGBTA community. This video illustrates a bit of what has been and a glimpse into what can be, offering hope for what is possible. Filmmaker and MSU graduate alum, Rebecca Orlowicz received her bachelors degree in film production at New School University where she developed her skills in the art of short videos. A proud ally herself, this project reflects her own commitment to the LGBTA community and passion for documentary shorts.
