Tuition Payment Plan
Montclair State University offers payment plans through SallieMae. Students can enroll for 1 semester at a time. This plan is interest free and available for a modest fee. Enrollment is available for a limited time.
Payment Plans are no longer available for summer 2014 semester.
Past due balances may not be included as part of the plan; these payment plans will be canceled/voided by the University. We do offer Sallie Mae payment plans after the due date, however you will be subject to a late fee . Please see the late fee schedule under payment options so you may plan accordingly.
Sallie Mae Payment plan contract for fall 2014 is from June 01 to October 01, 2014. Official fall tuition and fee rates will be available mid July. Payment plans can be established using an approximate cost. Once the official bill is posted on WESS in July 2014, please ensure your budget is accurate. If your payment plan is under/over budget you must contact Sallie Mae at 1-800-635-0120.

If you choose to enroll in a payment plan, it is the student’s responsibility to check his/her MSU WESS student account online at wfs.montclair.edu. If your payment plan account is under-budget, a registration and transcript hold will be placed onto your account which may prevent registration and/or release of your transcript.
If at any time you have new charges posted to your account, such as fines, tuition, room and board, etc., you must contact Sallie Mae (1-800-635-0120) and adjust your budget.
Once a payment plan is established, you must make payment directly through Sallie Mae. Do not make payments directly to MSU unless your plan was canceled or terminated.
If a payment is not made by the due date, Sallie Mae will terminate your account. You will then be responsible for paying MSU in full.
