Meet the Justice League

Andres F. Lara, Undergraduate Student Andres is currently a SUPER senior with yet another SUPER year to go. He is a Linguistics and French major working towards a double teaching certification in TESL and French. As an openly identified member of the LGBT community, and with an inveterate mania for equality, he jumps in with both feet at the chance to promote human rights. Thus, he works with the LGBT Center in the hopes of infecting the Montclair community. In the future, he hopes to further develop research on Language and Gender, shedding a light on the stereotypes reinforced by every day life expressions. In the meantime, Andres continues to (affectionately) dissect conversations with his friends while nourishing his newfound love for wine and cheese (responsibly). |

Brennan McFarlane, Undergraduate Student Brennan is currently a junior at Montclair State University. He is studying history, with an interest in LGBT issues from per-modern times. Brennan hopes to enter a PhD program and become an advocate for LGBT sex education. Brennan joined the Justice League to assist Montclair’s LGBT community with the belief that proactive community outreach and political advocacy are crucial. He is also very active in Montclair’s Student Government, where he serves as a legislator, and New Jersey United Students, a statewide student advocacy non-profit. Brennan is also a student of German, having lived and studied abroad in Berlin. He hopes to enter the Teach English program in China. |

Diana Weisman, Undergraduate Student Diana Weisman is a Graphic Design major in her junior year. She's happy to be apart of the LGBTQ Justice League to meet new people and join in on the efforts to educate others on the LGBTQ community. Most importantly, she wants to bring greater awareness to the center and all the amazing events and resources offered. Especially more allies! You can also say Hi to Diana in the Marketing office of the Student Recreation Center. She loves to design the many flyers you see around campus! Few know that in a past life she was a drag queen or a cat. |

Ebony Jackson, Undergraduate Student Ebony Jackson is a senior here at Montclair State University. She has a major in Linguistics and a Minor in Dance. She became a Justice League Member originally just for volunteer work but it eventually it became her family. She love the LGBT Center. She eventually wants to bring LGBT awareness and education to her home area, Atlantic City. |

Fred Bunton, Undergraduate Student Fred is a freshman Theatre Studies major, Musical Theatre minor, who is extremely honored to be a part of the LGBT Center. Fred joined the center in hopes of helping as many people as possible; one hug at a time. Outside of the center you can find Fred singing throughout campus, hanging out with friends in the city, studying hard at the Sprague library, or playing piano in the practice rooms of Chapin Hall. |

Johanna Durazzi, Undergraduate Student Johanna is a freshman at Montclair. She is a Political Science major, Sociology, and GLBTQ studies minor, who is enjoying every moment of being a part of the LGBT Center. Johanna has a passion for equal rights. Johanna hopes to become a lawyer someday, and continue to fight for equality for all. |

Mateo Diaz, Undergraduate Student Mateo is currently a freshman at Montclair State University majoring in Biology. As a volunteer at the LGBT Center, he wants to spread awareness that people are more than just one part of their identities - be that skin color, sexuality, race or gender. He wants to celebrate equality and help the MSU LGBT community in every way possible. Mateo loves loves science, listening to and spending time with people who make him happy. |

Michael Klein, Undergraduate Student Michael Klein is a sophomore at Montclair State University, where he is pursuing an English major as well as a Journalism minor. Michael works at a number of places on campus, including Kasser Theater, Student Services for the College of the Arts, and even works as the Production Manager of the student run theater organization on campus, Players. Michael is also a proud resident of the Stonewall Suites on campus, and he has some of the best roommates in the world. He is very happy to now be volunteering at the LGBT Center as well, as he hopes to dedicate his life to equality and making a difference in the world. Michael loves theater, music, art, and especially his friends. |

Monica Lomet, Undergraduate Student Monica transferred to Montclair State University this fall and is currently a sophomore. Her major is Psychology and she is going to declare a Justice and Families minor. Monica plans to pursue a Master’s degree and a certification in School Psychology. Advocating on behalf of the LGBT community has been one of her passions for nearly six years. She plans to put that to good use as a member of the Justice League and in her future career. Monica has a strong desire to travel and hopes to spend a semester abroad in London. |

Nick Weber, Undergraduate Student
Nick is a Junior at Montclair State University; he is pursuing a Business Management major and a Theatre minor. He is very involved on campus and works with many departments including Alexander Kasser Theatre, Residential Educations & Services and even serves as Vice President for Players, a class one organization of the SGA. As a Justice League member, he looks forward to helping wherever he can and making a difference in at least someone’s life. In his spare time he enjoys being with friends, dancing and just making people smile. |

Theadora Lecour, Undergraduate Student Theadora Lecour loves being a volunteer at the LGBTQ center and is honored that she got the opportunity to be a member of the Justice League. This is her first year at Montclair State University and she plans to be in the Justice League as long as she can! She is currently a Theatre Arts Major and is very excited for her future at MSU. |
