GLFSA (Gay and Lesbian Faculty Staff Association): The mission of GLFSA is to serve LGBT persons by addressing those issues we deem to be within our schope as they are brought forward to us by our members. We will attempt to promote understanding of and respect for issues of orientation and gender diversity within the broader spectrum of the university community.
SPECTRUMS: Is a student organization dedicated to educating the community to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues. We work to help end bigotry on the Montclair State University campus, to create a safe, supportive, and fun environment for GLBT students and allies, and to celebrate diversity.
GLBTQ Safe Space Program: The GLBTQ Safe Place Program identifies offices of MSU faculty and staff that are safe places for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. Such offices are identified with a decal. The decal has a green circle with two triangles in the center, one pink and one in black. It reads GLBTQ Safe Space. Some of the people who display the decal are lesbian or gay, while others are supportive of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals.
GLBTQ Studies Minor: Montclair State University’s GLBTQ minor offers students to explore GLBTQ representations, cultures, and histories, think critically about identities, current issues, institutions, and activism and enhance educational and professional opportunities.

The Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender Nonconforming People by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH-SOC) are the most widespread SOC used by professionals working with transsexual, transgender, or gender variant people. The WPATH-SOC are periodically updated and revised. The latest revision was released September 25th, 2011. This is the seventh version of the WPATH-SOC since the original 1979 document was drafted.[1] Previous revisions were released in 1980, 1981, 1990, 1998, and 2001.
