Mentorship Program

Mission Statement

The mission of our Mentorship Program is to guide, connect, support, and engage undergraduate students with professionals on campus who provide a trusting, confidential, one-on-one relationship and space for mentees to explore academic, social, career, and identity-based issues (race, sexuality, ability, gender, faith, etc.) in a safe, non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering environment. Through this relationship, mentees are connected with campus resources, engaged in on- and off-campus activities, and develop an enhanced sense of belonging and connection to Montclair State University, while increasing student involvement, confidence, and retention.

This is a joint program by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Center, The Women's Center, The Center for Faith and Spirituality, and the Office of Equity and Diversity.
