About the Adult Success Programs
Montclair State University’s Adult Learner program is dedicated to lifelong learning, offers academic, career, and personal support services to non-traditional and working students who:
- Are 25 years of age or older (required)
- Possess a high school degree or the GED (required)
- Are pursuing an undergraduate degree (required)
- Have not been enrolled in a college or university for at least the last 2 years (required)
In addition, the Adult Learner program offers the GNED 100 Adult Academic Success Seminar, a required 2-credit course that through its focus on note taking, stress and time management, study and writing skills, helps many adult students to transition from the responsibilities of the workplace to the academics of the classroom.
Register to attend a Transfer and Adult Student Information Session to have our staff walk you through the application and enrollment process and alleviate any concerns you may have about returning to the classroom.
Your program advisor, admissions counselors, and financial aid representatives are available to answer your individual questions about the transfer process, including admissions requirements and credit evaluations.
