SERVICE ASSISTANT (SA) - Applications accepted year round in each residence hall
It is the responsibility of the SA to ensure an enthusiastic, inclusive, safe and welcoming environment for all residents and guests of the assigned community. The SAs are responsible for ensuring a secure community, by allowing building access only to residents and their properly signed in guests. The SA is expected to act as a representative of the department and to utilize proper service etiquette when addressing the needs of all residents, staff members, and guests within the Montclair State Campus Community. Some SAs are assigned additional responsibilities, for example Service Assistant Coordinators (SACs), Service Assistants/Facilities Assistants (FA), and Service Assistants/Office Assistants (OAs). Applications are available during the spring semester, usually in mid-February, for the upcoming academic year. Should positions become available during the year, emails will be sent out to students.
RESIDENTIAL TUTOR (RT)
It is the responsibility of the RT to ensure and encourage academic success within the designated residential community. RTs work to support resident students by providing academic success mentoring, an in-hall curriculum, participation in community-based activities, engaging students in campus life, connecting students to academic departments, and supporting the overall mission of the Department of Residential Education and Services. The RT is expected to serve as a representative of the department and to utilize proper service etiquette when addressing the needs of all residents, staff members, and guests within the Montclair State University Campus Community. Applications are available during the spring semester for the upcoming academic year. Should positions become available during the year, emails will be sent out to students.

Information Desk/Program Coordinator/Assistant Program Coordinator - Application Process April - July
Direct responsibility for the Information Desk, bulletin boards, and answering the phones. Major duties also include set up, break down, and monitoring of media equipment scheduled and used in the Student Center. The Program Coordinator and Assistant Program Coordinator assist clients with program/events implementation. Greeting visitors, answering questions and giving directions are some of the other tasks involved with these positions. The Assistant Program Coordinator also has responsibility for monitoring the SC computer lab located on the 1st floor of the Student Center.

CAPS Empowerment Ambassador Program
The mission of the CAPS Empowerment Ambassador Program is to provide an opportunity for Montclair State University students to develop leadership, community outreach, and human services skills while also serving as change agents in promoting health, wellness, and mental health awareness in the Montclair State community. Through this program, CAPS aims to engage student leaders in providing mental health outreach programming to their peers and to the Montclair State University community as a whole. CAPS Empowerment Ambassadors receive training and mentorship in serving as outreach assistants for CAPS, with the aim of decreasing myths about seeking help, empowering and motivating other students to make healthy life changes, and providing information on counseling and CAPS services to raise awareness and decrease mental health stigma on campus.

Campus Recreation - Application Process March -July
Campus Recreation offers a number of student staff leadership employment opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate levels. Students can be hired in the following areas:
Lifeguard (must have current certification)
Group Xercise Instructor (must have current certification)
Marketing (with high skill base or background)
