Important Billing & Grade Info

Details about Fall ’17 Grade Posting; Reminder: Winter & Spring Billing/Payment Deadlines.

Bills for Winter Session 2018 and the spring 2018 semesters are now available in NEST. In addition, grades and Academic Standing for the fall 2017 semester will be available for viewing in NEST beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

Fall 2017 Grades

Beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 8:30 a.m., you will be able to access your grades and Academic Standing for the fall 2017 semester in NEST.

To find your grades:

  • Log into NEST using your University NetID and password.
  • Navigate to the “Final Grades” portlet on the homepage.
  • Select the “Final Grades” link in this portlet to be taken to the Final Grades page.
  • Select “Fall 2017” from the dropdown menu.
  • Here you will find all of your final grades for the fall 2017 semester.

Winter 2018 Bill

If you are enrolled in a Winter Session 2018 class, your bill is now available in NEST. This bill reflects your balance as well as the current tuition and fees as of this date.

Remember: Any adjustments to your schedule (i.e. adding or dropping courses) will affect your final bill. These statements will be updated at the end of each business day to reflect any adjustment to your charges because of changes you may make to your schedule.

The due date for your Winter Session 2018 payment is Friday, December 22, 2017.

Spring 2018 Bill

Your bill for the spring 2018 semester is available in NEST. This bill reflects your current balance due.

Financial Aid will not show estimated aid until Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2018, NEST will reflect your balance due after estimated financial aid as well as the current tuition, fees, room and board (if applicable) costs.

Remember: Any adjustments to your schedule (I.E. Adding or dropping courses), as well as your financial aid awards, will affect your final bill. These statements will be updated at the end of each business day to reflect any adjustment to your charges because of changes you may make to your schedule.

All students are responsible for regularly reading important information sent to the University email account and for taking action on any significant communications sent to that address.

The due date for your spring 2018 payment is Monday, January 8, 2018.

Finding and Paying Your Bill

  1. Log into NEST using your University NetID and password.
  2. Navigate to the “Student Accounts” web page.
  3. Navigate to the “View My Bill” portlet and select “View Statement and Payment History.”
  4. Here you will see your bill based on your credits, fees, financial aid, meal plans and housing if applicable.
  5. If you wish to make a payment, enroll in a payment plan (spring 2018 only) or add an authorized user to your account, use the TouchNet navigation above your statement.

Payment Options

    • Cash:
      • You may pay with cash in person at the cashier’s window when we reopen Wednesday, January 3, 2018. NOTE: Credit cards are not accepted at the Cashier’s Window.
    • Check/Money Order:
      • You may remit a check or money order payment in person or mail to: Montclair State University, Attn: Cashier’s Office, 1 Normal Ave, Montclair, NJ 07043.
      • Make check/money order payable to Montclair State University. Please indicate the student’s CWID number on the check/money order.
    • Electronic Check (e-Check) or Credit Card:
      • NOTE: Credit cards are not accepted at the Cashier’s Window (College Hall, Room 216).
      • All E-Check or credit card payments must be made on NEST through TouchNet.
      • TouchNet accepts American Express, MasterCard, Discover and Visa. Please note, that there will be a non-refundable convenience fee charged to credit card payments based on and in addition to the amount paid.
  • TouchNet Installment Payment Plan (Spring 2018 Only):
    • Montclair State University offers payment plans through the TouchNet payment gateway for the spring 2018 semester.
    • Students can enroll for one (1) semester at a time. This plan is interest free and available for a modest fee. Enrollment is available for a limited time. This is NOT a loan. We do offer TouchNet payment plans after the due date; however, you will be subject to a late fee. Please see the late fee schedule so you may plan accordingly.
