The Office of Extended Learning welcomes students enrolled in other colleges and universities. Visiting Students have the opportunity to supplement their undergraduate and graduate programs by studying at Montclair State University in the Summer, Winter, Fall and/or Spring term. Enrolling as a Visiting Student is a great opportunity to earn credits toward your degree on campus or online during the summer and winter break.
Students currently enrolled in good academic standing at a regionally accredited college or university other than Montclair State University, and who are accepted by other regionally accredited colleges or universities to begin their studies in the spring semester are eligible to become Visiting Students and register for Winter Session courses.
Students currently enrolled in good academic standing at a regionally accredited college or university other than Montclair State University, and students who are accepted by other regionally accredited colleges or universities to begin their studies in the fall semester are eligible to become Visiting Students and register for Summer Sessions.
AFTER the online application has been processed, the student is eligible to register for open courses anytime after the online visiting student registration period begins; mid-November for winter courses or early March for summer courses.
Registration may be completed up to and including the first day of the course as long as the course is open. Register early to decrease the possibility of being closed out of classes; the University cannot guarantee a students preferred schedule. Upon their initial registration for a course(s) offered during Winter Session or Summer Sessions, Visiting Students are charged a one time $25 processing fee.
After you have completed your summer course(s) you can request a transcript.
