University Advancement connects people – alumni, donors and friends – to Montclair State’s vibrant community. We do this by building relationships, telling our story, and raising funds to support and advance the University’s mission.
Our team – which is comprised of over 50 advancement, communication, design and other professionals – involves our core constituents in University life through dynamic alumni relations programs, strategic communications, targeted development and stewardship initiatives, and productive community relationships.
University Advancement is led by Jack Shannon, Vice President for University Advancement. The division is made up of three major units:
- External Relations – Led by Carol Blazejowski, Associate Vice President for External Relations. External Relations includes Community Relations, Special Events and University Communications.
- Development – Led by Lisa Hoyt, Acting Associate Vice President for Development. Development includes Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.
- Montclair State Foundation – Led by Jeff Campo, Associate Vice President for Foundation Administration and Finance.
University Advancement is also involved in Corporate and Foundation Giving which is led by Penny Vance, Assistant Vice President for Corporate and Foundation Giving.
