Displaying Image Galleries
The Montclair State Web Gallery tool allows users to create image stacks and to display them as animated slideshows and interactive galleries on pages throughout the site. To get started, log in to http://www.montclair.edu/webgallery. If you aren't able to create a stack of images in the Web Gallery, contact Web Services to get access.
Once you've created your stack of images, copy the FolderID attribute from the location bar in your browser (in this case, 241).
Displaying an Animated Slideshow
In TerminalFour, find the Section on which you want to place the slideshow and Add a new piece of Content using the Web Gallery - Gallery Content Template. Fill in a name, width, height, and the FolderID copied earlier.
For best results, make the gallery using either all vertical or all horizontal photos and make the animation similar in shape.
Displaying an Interactive Gallery
In TerminalFour, find the Section on which you want to place the slideshow and Add a new piece of Content using the Web Gallery - Thumbnails Content Template. Fill in a name and the FolderID copied earlier.
Because of issues communicating between servers, neither of these galleries will display properly when previewing pages in TerminalFour. They will, however, display correctly when the pages are published to the main website. If you create a gallery that doesn't work correctly in preview, don't panic. As long as you have the correct FolderID it will work.
