Media Relations

Media Relations is an integrated component of Montclair State University’s comprehensive communications effort. The media relations staff works with external news media including newspapers, magazines, television, radio, newsletters, and online publications  to cultivate interest in Montclair State’s programs, projects, initiatives, and activities. The staff works closely with members of the University community, including administration, faculty, and students to:

• Develop and nurture positive press
• Manage and provide correct information to the media, including crisis situations
• Support the president’s office and University spokespeople with information when dealing with the media
