Searching on the Galleries

There are three ways to search for images in the catalog—by description, by keyword, and by filename. Each search method may provide a different result.

  1. Description: Enter a single word into the description text box. For people, last names are best. If you are looking for a photo of the campus, use “campus” as the search term.   Schools are identified by their acronyms—CEHS, CHSS, CSAM, CART, SBUS.
  2. Keywords: Choose a keyword from the pull-down menu to view images with that tag.
  3. Filename: If you know the date the photo was taken, you can enter mmddyy, or an event name or title (abbreviations are frequently used) into this text box. If you are searching for a headshot, you may use the person’s NetID as the search term.

The entire library of available images can be viewed by clicking on “Show All Items.” Each page displays 60 images.

To Save: Click “+save” to download the chosen images; click “more” to see a larger view and other details; click “Search Results” above the image to go back to where you were. Images can be downloaded directly onto a computer in a ZIP or SIT archive format. Photos may also be downloaded one at a time.
