This Web page lists the policies for creating and maintaining Montclair State University Web pages. It also is important
to review and apply all applicable rules, regulations and laws specified
under the University's
Guidelines for Responsible Computing.
- Official MSU Web sites are hosted on Montclair State University severs. Coordination between Web Services and the Office of Information Technology is required to determine site hosting and server structure and support.
- All aspects of the MSU Web site must work within established site construction and management parameters, as defined in Web Services Standards.
- To assure continuity and consistency both academic and administrative departments are responsible for the establishment of a management structure of their aspect of MSU Web presence and coordination with Web Services.
- All aspects of MSU Web presence represent official communications from the University to the public, and therefore all content must adhere to University policies and standards, including FERPA, and all local, state, federal and international law.
- All Web pages are subject to Web Services Standards regarding both content and technical structure, and therefore Web Services may remove any textual or multi-media content that violates University policies and standards, Web Services policies and standards, or local, state, federal or international laws.
- Adherence to the Montclair State University code of conduct, and to all copyright rules and restriction on the use of written, graphical, video and audio materials and data, in accordance with the University's standards and requirements for acknowledgment of sources in academic work, and as stated in the Student's Code of Conduct and the Faculty Handbook, must be met in all aspects of the MSU Web presence.
