The Coder House is named after Dr. Al Coder. Dr. Coder was a Head Football Coach and Athletic Trainer for MSC. He was also a professor in the Physical Education Department and the founder of the MSC Driver Education Program. (Dr. Coder even required his Driver Education students to attend class with jacket, shirt and tie.) He was the faculty coordinator for Phi Epsilon Kappa, the National Honor Society for Physical Education, and he was President of the New Jersey Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
