18 in 'o8: Film Screening and Discussion with Sen. M. Teresa Ruiz and Freeholder Linda Cavanaugh

David Burstein, a college student and director of 18 in '08, will be showing his 30 minute video. He is premiering the film at area colleges prior to an upcoming nationwide release. 18 in '08 is designed to get young people (particularly 18 to 24-year olds) interested in voting. New Jersey State Senator M. Teresa Ruiz and Essex County Freeholder Linda Cavanaugh will attend and be part of the discussion.

Beyond the Veil: The Hijab Challenge

Sign up, receive your veil, dress and behave accordingly, note any experiences and observations. Participants will meet at 4pm in Student Center Room 207 (Annex) to discuss a day in the life under the veil. Hijabs (head scarfs) will be distributed starting Monday March 10th in Room 210 from 10am until March 12th 12 noon.
