Application Process for Hispanic Student College Institute

Completed applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Priority will be given to applications completed on or before April 1st, 2019. Each application for admission is addressed individually, and the process is a competitive one. Students will be notified of their acceptance to the Hispanic Student College Institute by May 1st, 2019.

Please note that the application for the 2019 Hispanic Student College Institute has been closed. If you’d like to receive updates about the 2020 Institute, please fill out our Hispanic Student College Institute Interest Form.

Step 1
Create Your Montclair State Account

Create a Montclair State University account online. Remember to keep your log-in information handy, as you will need it to check the status of your application at a later date.

Step 2
Submit Your HSCI Application
After you have created your account, click “Start New Application”. Then click “Undergraduate Application” from the top list and “Pre-College Programs” on the bottom list. Then click “Create Application”. Then, under Student Type select “Hispanic Student College Institute”. You will then be able to fill out the application and submit it.
Step 3
Send in your Letter of Recommendation and Transcript

To complete your application, please have your guidance counselor mail or e-mail us a copy of your high school transcript and one letter of recommendation. Documents can be emailed to hsci@montclair.edu or sent to:

Please allow 7-10 days for us to process your documents once we receive them.

Check Your Application Status
