In addition to completing the steps on the\u00a0Freshmen Student Checklist<\/a> or\u00a0Transfer Student Checklist<\/a>, all accepted adult students are required to complete:<\/p>\n Montclair State University requires the ALEKS Placement, Preparation, and Learning (ALEKS PPL) Assessment<\/a> for students in certain majors to determine readiness for math courses. This web-based assessment identifies strengths and areas for improvement, providing an opportunity to review and reassess.<\/p>\n You should only be taking this assessment if you are a student in the following:<\/p>\n You will receive an e-mail 2 days after paying your enrollment deposit if you are required to take the ALEKS assessment. If you plan to continue studying a world language you have studied previously, you must complete the Foreign Language Placement Test. Contact us for assistance<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> If you wish to to be considered for federal and state financial aid, as well as any merit- or non-merit-based scholarships, you must complete the FAFSA<\/a> (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by March 1.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> As an adult student, you will be able to access your Degree Audit, or Credit Evaluation, within ten business days of the receipt of your acceptance letter.<\/p>\n It will tell you how your courses will transfer over to Montclair, and let you know what courses you will need to complete in order to receive your degree from Montclair.<\/p>\n To learn how courses are transferred to Montclair and to understand their course equivalencies, log into the NEST student services<\/a> website.
