In what has now become a tradition of highly successful gatherings and tours of prominent studios in Los Angeles, a Montclair State University contingent is once again traveling to the City of Angels to host an alumni gathering and tour of a major motion picture studio this coming summer.<\/p>\n
Montclair State will hit the road and travel to Los Angeles this June. Michael Price \u201981, Co-Executive Producer & Writer for The Simpsons<\/em>, will again host alumni and guests at Fox Studios on Wednesday, June 20. Montclair State has hosted events in Los Angeles each year at various locations including Sony Studios, NBC Universal Studios, and Fox Studios.<\/p>\n The tour and reception promise to be exciting and informative. West Coast alumni will have the opportunity to get together with each other, and with University officials including Dan Gurskis, Dean of the College of the Arts, Jack Shannon, Vice President for University Advancement and Keith Strudler, Director of the School of Communication and Media. The tour will be led by Michael Price himself, offering insider\u2019s access to the Fox lot, including an exclusive peek into The Simpsons<\/em> writer\u2019s room.<\/p>\n The event will mark the fifth year in a row that Montclair State has hosted a get-together for alumni on the West Coast, giving them an opportunity to network with fellow Red Hawks and to learn all about Montclair State\u2019s notable recent accomplishments and exciting future plans.<\/p>\n \u201cAlthough we may be on the opposite side of the country, we always keep our West Coast alumni in mind when planning our events for the year,\u201d says Jenna Villani ’11 MA, Associate Director of Alumni Relations. \u201cWe would love to have them come back and visit the campus to see how we\u2019ve grown but for those who can\u2019t make it, we\u2019ll bring a taste of Montclair State to them.\u201d<\/p>\n
