Do you live in Florida or spend time in the Sunshine State? Let us know!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving brings Montclair State on the road to meet alumni as part of the Montclair State in Your Neighborhood program. With more than 5,000 alumni living in Florida, annual gatherings are planned on both coasts. We\u2019re heading to the Sunshine State this spring and are looking to create more opportunities for alumni living in Florida to connect with each other and the University. It\u2019s our hope to help foster active and strong alumni networks in Florida to create a sense of community among our proud Red Hawks in the area.<\/p>\n

Although we know that over 5,000 alumni live in Florida, we also know that there are those who live in Florida full time, and those who spend part of their year there or travel often for vacation or business. We\u2019re asking for your help. Share your current contact information so that we can be sure to provide information about happenings in your area. Alumni living on the west coast of Florida can look forward to the following upcoming events:<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay Alumni Gathering<\/strong>
\nDate: Thursday, March 14
\nTime: Early evening<\/p>\n

Naples Alumni Gathering<\/strong>
\nDate: Saturday, March 16
\nTime: Luncheon reception<\/p>\n

Look for an invitation with full details in your email inbox and your mailbox! All area alumni will receive an invitation, so be sure to let us know if you live in the area. Please complete this brief survey<\/strong><\/a> to share your contact information so that we can keep you in the loop on all of the happenings in Florida. We are also looking to host upcoming events on the east coast in the near future as well. If we already have your Florida address, there is no need to fill out the survey.<\/p>\n

Over the past several years, the University has made an effort to increase activity in Florida, particularly in regions where we have a large population of alumni, hosting events in West Palm Beach, Naples, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Sarasota.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to bring Montclair State to Florida,\u201d says Jenna Villani \u201911 MA, Associate Director of Alumni Relations. \u201cAlumni and guests in attendance have the chance to hear what\u2019s new at Montclair State, while meeting fellow alumni from the area. It\u2019s a great way to reconnect with their alma mater.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those who attend an event will have an opportunity to meet university leadership, hear an update on Montclair State\u2019s recent notable accomplishments and exciting future plans and learn about Soar, The campaign for Montclair State University<\/a>. Alumni will have a chance to meet alumni living in their area and learn about opportunities to get involved in the alumni network.<\/p>\n
