Dedicated to a holistic approach to comprehensive acting training, the program specializes in three essential areas: Acting, Movement, Voice and Speech. Our curriculum offers strong pre-professional training geared for the musical theatre business as it is reflected today, combining instruction and experience in the acting, dance and music demanded by this unique craft. Through a combination of classroom instruction and production opportunities, the program provides rigorous, progressive training in design, production and technology with the option to focus in various areas including scenic, costume, hair and makeup, lighting or sound, as well as performance and theatre management.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/academic-programs\/undergraduate\/bfa-production-and-design\/\"><b>https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/academic-programs\/undergraduate\/bfa-production-and-design\/<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theatre Studies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0offers the opportunity to explore all aspects of the business and practice of theatre, including playwriting for stage and screen, dramaturgy and script analysis, stage management, play direction and all aspects of production operations.\u200c Undergraduate students can pursue teacher certification while majoring in a complementary field of interest.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/academic-programs\/undergraduate\/ba-theatre-studies\/\"><b>https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/theatre-and-dance\/academic-programs\/undergraduate\/ba-theatre-studies\/<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Students also have the option to pursue a combined bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degree with teacher certification in general and special education.
