DuMont Broadcaster of the Year Award from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/scm\">Montclair State University&#8217;s School of Communication and Media (SCM)<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The award will be presented to Jackson by SCM Director Keith\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Strudler<\/span>\u00a0and retired SCM Associate Professor Marc Rosenweig on <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/calendar\/view-event.php?id=64321\" target=\"_blank\">Thursday, November 21, at 6 pm in the School&#8217;s Presentation Hall<\/a>, followed by a conversation between Jackson and\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Strudler<\/span>\u00a0where they will discuss her career, the state of the American press, and events in Washington. The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Jackson joined NBC News in 2014 after serving as a national correspondent for Hearst Television in Washington, D.C. During the 2016 Republican presidential primary campaign she landed exclusive interviews with then candidates Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio.\u00a0 Jackson currently anchors &#8220;MSNBC Live&#8221; weekday mornings\u00a0at 10 a.m. ET. She previously was a reporter at WFSB-TV in Hartford, Ct. and WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD. She is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a BA in political science.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Allen B. DuMont Broadcast of the Year Award was first presented in 1982. It honors an individual who has distinguished him\/herself in the field of radio, television, or digital media.\u00a0The award is in recognition of Allen B.
