Eleven students and recent alumni from Montclair State University\u2019s WMSC-FM<\/a> have been named finalists by College Broadcasters Inc.<\/a> for the National Student Production Awards. Their outstanding work at the campus radio station earned the student-operated outlet six nominations in the following categories:<\/p>\n

  1. Best Promo<\/strong>: \u201cTunes on Tuesday\u201d by Jared Tauber. This is Tauber\u2019s second nomination in this category. Last year his 2022 promo for the show won the first place award.<\/li>\n
  2. Best PSA (Public Service Announcement)<\/strong>: \u201cNJ Hike\u201d by Marissa Thorn.<\/li>\n
  3. Best Feature News Reporting<\/strong>: \u201cAdministration & Campus Experience Report\u201d by Terry Dickerson.<\/li>\n
  4. Best Regularly Scheduled Entertainment Program<\/strong>: \u201cThe Morning Buzz \u2013 Halloween Edition\u201d by JT Bethea and Isaias Ramirez<\/li>\n
  5. Best Station Imaging<\/strong>: \u201cWMSC Sounds\u201d by Jared Tauber, JT Bethea, Marissa Thorn and Yak Ferstenberg.<\/li>\n
  6. Best Live Production<\/strong>: \u201cThe Happy Fits\u201d by Jared Tauber, Emol McCormack, Leslie Gallagher, Jake Goetz, Ben Petruk and Nate Williams.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u201cI am immensely proud of our students and recent alumni who earned this recognition,\u201d said WMSC General Manager Anabella Poland<\/a>. \u201cTheir achievements are a testimony of their creativity, resourcefulness and the quality of education they receive at Montclair State University. We look forward to the awards ceremony and celebrate their accomplishments.\u201d<\/p>\n
