Performances are March 2nd at 2:00pm and 7:30pm in Life Hall Studio 1200.

THE LARAMIE PROJECT, written by Moisés Kaufman, is a play written in response to the murder of a young gay man, Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming in 1998. In a series of 200 interviews, taken by the Tectonic Theater Project, the news of Shepard’s death uncovered mixed reactions from Laramie residents. The year and a half long process started a deeper conversation about the town itself and the world we live in. The play demonstrates the impact Shepard had on a small community and the media that followed after. The Laramie Project is a production that provides dialogue about equality, accountability, tolerance, and acceptance. The overall play demonstrates the effects and consequences that can happen from hate and violence. Matthew Shepard’s death and story is still talked about, 25 years later.

Tickets are FREE

[1

post-210291","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-and-announcements
["GET
