{"id":211068,"date":"2025-09-05T14:19:37","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T18:19:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/arts\/?p=211068"},"modified":"2025-09-05T16:19:20","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T20:19:20","slug":"site-specific-performance-of-flowish-brings-the-passaic-river-to-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/arts\/2025\/09\/05\/site-specific-performance-of-flowish-brings-the-passaic-river-to-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Site-Specific Performance of Flow(ish) Brings the Passaic River to Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"162\" data-end=\"349\">On Sunday, August 24, Riverfront Park in Newark became the stage for a site-specific performance of Cynthia Mellon\u2019s powerful play <em data-start=\"293\" data-end=\"304\">Flow(ish)<\/em>, presented by the Newark Parks Department.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"351\" data-end=\"702\">The play, developed as part of the Garden State New Play Festival, produced by Jersey City Theater Center and the New Jersey Play Lab, was written by Mellon, a community activist whose work has long focused on the Passaic River.
