Recipients use the Library of Congress&#8217;s Music Division collections to advance original scholarship in dance history and performance.<\/p>\n<p>McPherson will use the fellowship to continue research for her forthcoming biography of Helen Tamiris, the influential modern dance choreographer who was married to Daniel Nagrin for two decades.<\/p>\n<p>The competitive fellowship supports graduate students, faculty, artists, and researchers whose projects make significant use of the Library&#8217;s performing arts collections while contributing new scholarship to the field.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabeth McPherson, professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance, has been awarded the 2026 Daniel Nagrin Research Fellowship from the Library of Congress Music Division.
