He is knowledgeable about industry best practices, business solution\u00a0development, competitive market analysis and financial and contract management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In his current role, Rusty leads a team of professionals\u00a0experienced in resolving client business challenges through accelerated problem resolution with open, flexible, and unified observability solutions powered by advanced ML and analytics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Previously Rusty was Director, IBM Cloud, responsible for the development and transformation of the IBM Cloud portfolio into a new Cloud division within North America. He realigned and implemented the sales and consulting strategies and resources to simplify the client\u2019s view of Cloud offerings from IBM, determined portfolio offerings, enabled marketing, designed sales targets and plays, developed execution priorities, and enforced key deal and roadmap management to create an integrated go-to-market strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rusty brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to his current role, including\u00a0assignments in marketing, sales, and business development positions primarily within\u00a0the Financial Services and Technology industries at Elastic, IBM, Veritas, and Cisco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rusty holds a Finance degree from Montclair State University, where he graduated with\u00a0honors. Through a joint IBM-Harvard University Program, he earned IBM\u2019s top\u00a0certification given to sales executives.
