Perelmuter spent nearly thirty years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (\u201cBank\u201d). She was most recently Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Stability Advisor in the Bank\u2019s Research and Statistics Group. Ms. Perelmuter was responsible for advising internal executive leadership on monetary policy issues and operations, central banking functions and financial markets.\u00a0 She also actively provided the public with business context and perspective on the Bank&#8217;s missions, operations, leadership, and challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Much of Ms. Perelmuter\u2019s tenure was within the Bank\u2019s Markets Group. Her expertise ranges from financial market and policy analysis and operations to managing external relationships at the highest levels.\u00a0\u00a0Her senior leadership positions in the Bank\u2019s Markets Group included Head of all Treasury Market Businesses, co-Head of Capital Markets Analysis and Trading, Head of Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income.\u00a0 She also had executive responsibility for a major analytic and automation project building the Fed\u2019s capacity as fiscal agent for the United States Treasury Department all while maintaining a role as Policy Adviser to the Head of the Markets Group.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Ms. Perelmuter speaks to university and business groups on economics, the Federal Reserve, and crisis management.
