This event is only open to Montclair State students.

If the thought of "networking" makes you nervous, you're not alone. Most people are uncomfortable when put in a room full of strangers and expected to network. Yet, networking is vital to your future - whether you intend to start your own business or join a corporation.

In this highly interactive session you will learn the secrets to making networking easy. You will build your confidence through role play so that you can start networking right away. And you will have lots of fun practicing with your peers in a safe environment!

The session will be led by Lyria Charles, a career coach who is passionate about helping people live purposeful lives through the work they do. As a former executive of 20 years earning a high six-figure income, Lyria knows what it takes to be successful in your career. Read more about Lyria.

Business or networking cards are essential to building your network. Students should plan on bringing their business/networking cards to this event.

You can order a set of 100 free business cards from Vista Print. The cards are free, but you will pay a small fee for shipping. You will want to jump on this right away to make sure your cards arrive in time for the session. If you have trouble ordering business cards, please contact sharon.waters@montclair.edu for assistance.

Note: This event does not apply to the BUGN 310, 320 and 330 courses.

Please plan to stay and practice your new networking skills during the Oct. 14, 6 p.m., event immediately following this session: "Women, Power, Leadership: A Special Event Featuring Gloria Feldt."
