Please join us for this important and timely discussion of the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases.

The Justice Studies Department invites you to a panel discussion about Eric Garner and Michael Brown, whose deaths sparked the national movement "Black Lives Matter."

The Panel

Panel members will be:

Dr. CalvinJohn Smiley, PhD, assistant professor of the Justice Studies Department will discuss these cases from a race and historical perspective.

Dr. Francesca Laguardia, JD, PhD, assistant professor in the Justice Studies department, will focus on the legal perspective of the cases.

A member of the MSU Police department will represent a law enforcement perspective.
