Jack Heller is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He made his directorial debut with the film Enter Nowhere, starring up-and-coming stars Scott Eastwood, Sara Paxton and Katherine Waterston. The independent film was released by Lionsgate. As a music video and commercial director, Heller has worked with artists including, Miley Cyrus, Big Sean, and Chief Keef, as well as brands such as Beats By Dre, Pac Sun, British Knights, Stussy, and Hood By Air. Heller has produced more than 15 feature films. 

Dark Was the Night is an upcoming 2014 thriller film directed and produced by Heller, and written by Tyler Hisel. The film is based on true events. Dark Was the Night is Heller's second feature film as director.


This film-screening series, sponsored by the Film Institute at Montclair State, is a weekly program for MSU students and the public. The program features contemporary filmmakers who come to speak about their work and profession in an open forum that invites audience members to ask questions and hear personalized inside stories. Admission is free.
