Peak Performances Executive Director Jedediah Wheeler participates in a discussion about "Presenting Dance, Artistry, and Disability" with fellow panelists, Mario Garcia Durham (President & CEO, Association of Performing Arts Presenters); Heidi Latsky (Artistic Director, Heidi Latsky Dance); and Jerron Herman (writer and dancer, Heidi Latsky Dance). Peak Performances presented the world premiere of Heidi Latsky Dance's Triptych, including Soliloquy, the debut film of Dance for Film on Location at Montclair State University.  Latsky was described in The New York Times as a choreographer for whom "there are no unbeautiful bodies and no bodies incapable of dancing."  Peak Performances is the recipient of a 2015 Innovator Award from the New Jersey Theatre Alliance/New Jersey State Council on the Arts' Cultural Access Network for its programming expanding inclusiveness for audiences and artists with disabilities.

This panel is part of a full day of activities focusing on a future for dance created by and experienced with artists and audiences with disabilities.  Commemorating the 25th anniversary year of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the event is hosted by Dance/NYC in partnership with the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, Art Beyond Sight, and Inclusion in the Arts.
