Be a part of a very special tribute to first responders of September 11!

When Is It?

This year's National day of service is on  Saturday, September 12.

The day will begin with breakfast and registration at 7:30 a.m., in the Student Center Ballrooms.  All students, faculty/staff, and Alumni are welcome to join and serve!

During breakfast in the Student Center Ballrooms, local fire fighters, EMS members, and police officers will be honored for their first response to the 2001 attacks.

What Exactly Will I Be Doing?

Following the special ceremony, volunteers will go off to different service sites to make an impact while creating a stronger network with community organizations.

Off-Campus Service Sites:

  • Community FoodBank of NJ
  • Paterson School #5 Garden Project
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Hilltop Conservancy

On Campus Service Sites:

  • Sandwich Making
  • Carewear Fabric Bears
  • Blanket Project
  • The Salvation Army Tags Project
  • Toiletry Kits For The Homeless
  • Card Making

{All student volunteers will register for specific service sites on morning of the Day of Service. Spots for service sites will be given on a first-come first-served basis. Some sites will be added at a later date.}
