"Lessons from messing around with the “clock” of the female reproductive system."

Montclair State's Dr. Carlos Molina, Associate Professor with the Biology Department, will be speaking about reproductive biology.

  • Wednesday, September 16
  • 3:00 p.m.
  • Richardson Hall, Room 222

Focus On Ovulation

Dr. Molina's laboratory has developed an ovarian-specific transgenic mouse to dissect the molecular mechanisms of ovulation. This research, into how ovulation works, at the molecular level, for mammals is exciting work.

These studies may lead to the development of new technologies in the field of agricultural livestock, where higher ovulation rates are desired.

The Future

Further research in this area could also lead to the development of novel reproductive technologies.
