Location Center for Environmental and Life Sciences - 110

Montclair State’s Ph.D. program in Mathematics Education is intended for students interested in various facets (curricular, pedagogical, psychological, philosophical, etc.) of mathematics education.  In addition to taking coursework, our students work actively with doctoral faculty to refine their research interests throughout their course of study. Recent graduates of the program currently work as mathematics educators at four-year universities, in leadership positions in schools, and with research institutes.

Faculty will present an overview of the program and current students will speak about their experiences.  The information session will also provide an opportunity to meet other potential applicants over snacks and light refreshments.

Applications for Fall 2016 are accepted through February 15, 2016. Exceptional students considering full-time doctoral studies are eligible for an MSU Westerdahl Fellowship providing full tuition remission and $25K stipend per year for four years.
