The Graphic Novel is an increasingly popular medium in America and beyond, and offers an innovative and contemporary approach to both fiction and non-fiction storytelling. In Germany, the graphic novel has become a contemporary means of expressing the country's complex relationship with its recent past vis-à-vis the GDR and Third Reich.
Dr. Lynn Marie Kutch is an Associate Professor of German in the Department of Modern Language Studies at Kutztown University, and an expert on the German Graphic Novel. Please join the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures as we discuss this phenomenon and its unique way of incorporating Germany's history.
